Uba Sani Allocates ₦3.659bn for Kaduna Retirees' Benefits

Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State has approved ₦3.659 billion for the payment of pensions, gratuities, and death benefits to 1,339 beneficiaries, including retirees and families of deceased public servants. This announcement was made by the Commissioner for Information and Culture, Malam Ahmed Maiyaki.

The latest approval covers beneficiaries under both the Defined Benefit Scheme (DBS) and the Contributory Pension Scheme (CPS). Specifically, 210 Local Government retirees will receive ₦515 million under the DBS, while ₦3.144 billion has been allocated for 1,129 beneficiaries under the CPS, which includes 402 retirees from the State Service and 727 from Local Government Councils.

The total pension payments made by the Uba Sani administration since it took office in May 2023 now amount to ₦21.455 billion, benefiting 9,683 individuals. Maiyaki emphasized the administration's commitment to addressing outstanding pension liabilities and ensuring financial security for retirees.
