Resident Doctors Praise Uba Sani for Healthcare Improvements

The Nigerian Association of Resident Doctors (NARD) has praised Governor Uba Sani for his commitment to improving the welfare of resident doctors and healthcare delivery in Kaduna State. This commendation was issued in a communiqué after the NARD's National Executive Council (NEC) meeting held from July 26 to 31, 2026, at the Gombe International Hotel, Gombe State.

The association highlighted the Governor's efforts in enhancing remuneration, infrastructure, manpower development, and working conditions for resident doctors. Governor Uba Sani has renovated and upgraded all 255 Primary Healthcare Centres to Level 2 status, expanded maternal and child healthcare services, and improved disease surveillance.

Additionally, the Kaduna State Government is revitalizing secondary healthcare by renewing General Hospitals and procuring modern medical equipment. The Governor has prioritized the recruitment of healthcare professionals and sustained the implementation of the Consolidated Medical Salary Structure (CONMESS) and the Consolidated Health Salary Structure (CONHESS) for healthcare professionals, reaffirming his commitment to developing future specialist physicians.
