Uba Sani Inspects Renovation of Ahmadu Bello Stadium

On a recent inspection of the Ahmadu Bello Stadium in Kaduna, Governor Uba Sani was joined by Isaiah Benjamin, President of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), and former Super Eagles players Daniel Amokachi, Garba Lawal, and Emmanuel Babayaro. The stadium, which has a capacity of 33,000, is undergoing renovation aimed at restoring its significance in Nigerian sports and preserving the legacy of Sir Ahmadu Bello, the late Premier of the Northern Region.

Governor Sani expressed concern over the deterioration of the stadium's legacy over the years and emphasized that the renovation is not merely about rebuilding a sports facility but about restoring an important part of the North's history. He thanked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his support in the renovation project, which he believes will be welcomed by Nigerians nationwide.

The governor stated that the renovated facility would promote and entrench the legacy of Sardauna while providing a modern platform for the development of football and other sports.
