FAAN Reforms Under Ganduje and Kuku Transform Airports

Umar Idris Shuaibu, a stalwart of the All Progressives Congress in Kano State, commended the ongoing reforms under Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, Chairman of the Board of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), and Mrs.

Olubunmi Kuku, the Managing Director/CEO of FAAN. In an exclusive interview, Shuaibu noted that these reforms are transforming Nigeria’s aviation sector through infrastructure renewal, improved governance, digital innovation, and enhanced passenger services.

He emphasized that the collaboration between Ganduje and Kuku has established a clear distinction between governance and management, allowing FAAN to implement long-term reforms. Shuaibu pointed out significant infrastructure upgrades at Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos and improvements in several other airports across Nigeria.

He also highlighted FAAN's commitment to environmental sustainability through initiatives like digital recycling bins and electric vehicles at airports, demonstrating a focus on reducing carbon emissions and aligning with global standards.
