Kano State Invests N996bn in 1,557 Projects
The Kano State Government has allocated N996.29bn to fund 1,557 projects across its 44 local government areas over nearly three years under the leadership of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf. Nura Maaji Sumaila, the Commissioner for Public Procurement, Projects Monitoring and Evaluation, announced that 867 projects, or 55.68%, have been completed, while 654 projects, representing 42%, are still ongoing.

The distribution of projects includes 598 in metropolitan areas valued at N299.36bn and 653 in rural areas worth N287.90bn. Major investments include a N113.19bn mass housing project and a N24.77bn road expansion project.
