Kano State Executes 1,508 Projects Worth N928 Billion

The Kano State Government, under Governor Abba Kabir, has completed 1,508 development projects worth N928 billion across all 44 local government areas. Commissioner for Public Procurement, Nura Ma Aji Sumaila, announced this during an international press briefing focused on the state's infrastructure development initiatives.

Of the total projects, 799 are completed, while 709 are at various stages of completion, excluding 619 constituency projects currently being implemented. The projects cover multiple sectors, including urban renewal, transport, security, education, healthcare, and social services.

Notably, the urban renewal initiative includes contracts worth N169 billion for road rehabilitation and drainage construction, with an additional N118 billion allocated to improve connectivity across the state. Furthermore, N6.863 billion has been awarded for constructing the Kano State Neighborhood Watch Division to enhance community policing and public safety.
