Kano State Signs 20-Year Deal with Dangote Foundation

The Kano State Government has entered into a 20-year Memorandum of Understanding with the Aliko Dangote Foundation for the management of the Aliko Dangote Skills Acquisition Centre. This agreement, announced by Governor Yusuf's Spokesman, Sanusi Dawakin-Tofa, is designed to reposition the centre to provide better entrepreneurial and vocational training for the youth in Kano State.

The MoU was signed on Tuesday at the Office of the Secretary to the State Government, with key representatives including Alhaji Umar Farouk Ibrahim, the Secretary to the State Government, and Barrister Abdulkareem Maude, the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice. The Aliko Dangote Foundation was represented by Alhaji Sanusi Abdulkadir and Mustapha Umar.

Governor Yusuf expressed confidence that the foundation's expertise would significantly enhance the centre's capabilities, transforming it into a leading institution for vocational training in Nigeria and West Africa. The centre was established by the previous administration of Governor Abdullahi Ganduje in honor of Aliko Dangote.
