Kano LEADS Defends ACF Leadership Amid Criticism

Kano LEADS issued a statement cautioning against attempts to weaken the Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF), highlighting the leadership of Alhaji Bashir Dalhatu, the ACF chairman. The statement, signed by Aisha Dankani, MFR, MNI, the Secretary General, criticized recent public attacks aimed at discrediting the ACF and its board of trustees.

It noted that these efforts are intended to divert attention from pressing issues in Northern Nigeria. Kano LEADS reaffirmed its confidence in Dalhatu's leadership, describing him as a stabilizing figure capable of bridging divides and fostering constructive dialogue.

The group emphasized the need for stronger institutions in the face of significant development and security challenges, particularly as the 2027 political season approaches. They condemned the attempts to delegitimize the ACF's leadership, asserting that such actions could undermine the legacy and effectiveness of the organization.
