Gov. Yusuf's Spokesperson Confirms Red Cap Status

Sanusi Batur Dawakin Tofa, spokesperson for Kano State Governor Yusuf, stated that there has been no directive to cease wearing the iconic Kwankwasiyya red cap, which is widely associated with the political movement founded by former Kano State Governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso. This reassurance comes amid growing speculation regarding the governor's political alignment, particularly after he was seen in Yola, Adamawa State, wearing a dark blue camouflage outfit that bore the insignia of President Bola Tinubu.

This appearance raised questions about whether Governor Yusuf was abandoning the red cap, a significant symbol of the Kwankwasiyya movement. In response to these speculations, Dawakin Tofa urged supporters to remain patient, emphasizing that the red cap continues to represent the political identity of the Kwankwasiyya movement, despite reports of the governor distancing himself from the inner circle of the movement following political realignments.
