Katsina State Bans Fuel Sales in Jerrycans, Motorcycles

Katsina State Governor Dikko Radda issued an executive order to strengthen security measures aimed at curbing banditry and kidnapping across the state. This decision was announced following an emergency security meeting attended by security agencies and traditional leaders.

The new measures include an immediate ban on the sale, purchase, and transportation of petroleum products in jerrycans throughout Katsina State. Additionally, the closure of commercial phone charging points in Matazu and Musawa local government areas was approved due to their exploitation by criminal networks.

Furthermore, the use of motorcycles is banned in these areas to disrupt the movement of bandits who often rely on them for transportation. Governor Radda emphasized that the safety of citizens is the highest priority for his administration and called on residents to support security efforts by providing necessary information to security agencies.
