Katsina Non-Indigenes Present Demands to Governor Radda

The Non-Indigenes Association of Katsina State presented a nine-point demand to Governor Dikko Umaru Radda, advocating for increased support and inclusion of its members in the state's political and economic spheres. The demands included the allocation of land for a permanent secretariat, increased political appointments, employment opportunities, and empowerment programs.

The association also requested that its members be included in government patronage and qualified for contracts, as well as access to slots in state-owned tertiary institutions and pilgrimage allocations for Christians and Muslims. Governor Radda acknowledged the requests and directed the state government’s secretariat to examine them in line with existing policies and available resources.

He emphasized that non-indigenes should not be regarded as outsiders but as integral contributors to the state's economic and social development. The meeting concluded with the association unanimously endorsing Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Radda as candidates for the APC in the 2027 general elections.
