Katsina TVET Trainees Demand Payment of Delayed Allowances

Trainees enrolled in the Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) program at the Federal Polytechnic Daura in Katsina State have voiced their concerns regarding significant delays in the payment of training allowances and grants. Abdullahi Mohammad, a trainee, reported that there has been no official explanation for the non-payment, leaving participants frustrated after spending personal funds throughout the six-month training period.

Aisha Musa, another trainee, highlighted her financial struggles, having spent considerable amounts on transportation from Malumfashi to Daura without receiving any financial support. The trainees have called on the Federal Ministry of Education to manage the TVET program effectively and fulfill the promises made to them.

Dr. Aziz Fatai, the coordinator of the TVET program at the Federal Polytechnic Daura, acknowledged the complaints and assured trainees that outstanding stipends would be paid soon and that the process for releasing grants is ongoing.
