Katsina State Recruits 2,158 Teachers in Major Initiative
The Katsina State Government has successfully recruited 2,158 teachers as part of its efforts to rebuild the education sector and sustain investments in human capital. Out of these, 8,889 candidates were shortlisted, 3,683 passed a computer-based test, and 2,158 were selected after advancing through oral interviews. This recruitment is part of a larger initiative to deploy 7,323 teachers in 2023 and to employ 1,800 healthcare workers annually.
The government has also disclosed that 25,000 teachers have undergone capacity-building programs. Additionally, a rural teacher allowance of N30,000 has been introduced, and 18,000 digital tablets have been procured to support teachers in hard-to-reach communities.
