Abdulaziz Yari Donates N280M for Argungu Book Launch

On Saturday, Abdulaziz Yari, a prominent political figure, donated N280 million for the launch of a book titled "Kingdom Crisis Kabi Nineteenth Century," authored by Muhammad Bello Alkali. The book launch occurred in Argungu, where Yari contributed N150 million as part of his donation.

The chief launcher of the event pledged to redeem his promise within a week. The book, which was carefully crafted, explores the historical scholarship of the Kabi kingdom, detailing its pre-colonial challenges and conflicts, including the Sokoto Jihad of 1804 and the colonial conquests of the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

Professor Alkasum Abba reviewed the book, commending its intellectual rigor. Additionally, Kebbi State Governor Nasir Idris announced a combined donation of N100 million from Kebbi, Sokoto, and Zamfara states, while Atiku Bagudu contributed N10 million.
