Kebbi NBA Chairman Rejects Judicial Corruption Claims

Aminu Hassan, the chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Kebbi State branch, addressed concerns regarding judicial corruption, asserting that the judiciary continues to uphold integrity and the rule of law. His remarks were made during the flag-off of the Equiti Bar Law Week in Birnin Kebbi.

Hassan acknowledged public dissatisfaction with court outcomes and emphasized that attempts to influence judicial proceedings are unethical. He urged the public to report any suspected misconduct and reiterated that accepting bribes is a criminal offense.

He commended the Kebbi State Government for its efforts in digitizing the judiciary, describing this initiative as a positive step towards improving efficiency and aligning the justice system with global technological standards. Hassan encouraged legal practitioners to utilize the law week as an opportunity to enhance their professional knowledge, noting that technological advancements could lead to faster and more effective justice delivery.

The event was attended by Kebbi State Governor Nasir Idris and members of the legal community.
