Kebbi University Acting VC Resigns Over Interference Issues

Prof. Isma’il A. Mungadi has resigned from his position as acting Vice Chancellor of Abdullahi Fodio University of Science and Technology in Kebbi State.

In his resignation letter addressed to the pro-chancellor and chairman of the Governing Council, dated Friday, he expressed challenges in executing his responsibilities effectively. Mungadi accepted the role with the intention of stabilizing the university, enhancing governance processes, restoring confidence, and facilitating a transition to substantive leadership.

However, he noted that recent developments made it increasingly difficult to fulfill his mandate with the necessary independence and institutional harmony. He stated that despite his sincere efforts, the prevailing circumstances prevented him from achieving the objectives for which he was appointed, leading to his decision to resign.
