Kehinde Laniyan Joins WBSC Africa Baseball Commission

Kehinde Laniyan has been appointed as a member of the Baseball Commission for Africa by the World Baseball Softball Confederation Africa (WBSC Africa). This appointment was communicated through an official letter from the Executive Director of WBSC Africa, issued from the organization's Secretariat in Cape Verde.

The Commission consists of five members from various African countries, including South Africa, Nigeria, Guinea, Burkina Faso, and Ghana. Laniyan has significant experience in baseball development, having served as Secretary General of the Nigeria Baseball and Softball Association (NBSA) and currently holding the position of District Administrator for Little League International in Nigeria.

He is also the Coordinator of the West Africa Little League Tournament. In 2022, he received the Meritorious Service Award for Europe and Africa from Little League International.

Laniyan is also a Deputy Registrar at Yaba College of Technology. His appointment is seen as a recognition of his commitment to baseball development in Nigeria and Africa, expected to enhance Nigeria's influence in shaping baseball policies on the continent.
