Kehinde Laniyan Appointed Oyo State Baseball Chairman

Kehinde Laniyan has been appointed as the Chairman of the Board of the Baseball and Softball Association in Oyo State. The official letter conveying this appointment was signed by Mrs. Olubisi Jejelola Adegoke, the General Manager of the Oyo State Sports Council.

This appointment follows Mr. Laniyan’s recent role as a member of the WBSC Africa Baseball Commission, highlighting his increasing recognition in the baseball and softball community both in Nigeria and Africa. The Oyo State Sports Council stated that this appointment is a well-deserved acknowledgment of Mr. Laniyan’s distinguished service and leadership in promoting baseball and softball in Nigeria.

His contributions include organizing national training camps, hosting championships, and coaching clinics, as well as his commitment to expanding baseball and softball programs in schools. Mrs. Adegoke expressed confidence that Mr. Laniyan’s extensive network and experience would significantly benefit the growth of these sports in Oyo State.

His tenure as chairman is set for four years.
