Tragic Deaths of CCC Evangelist and Wife After Dispute

On August 25, 2026, Evangelist Abidemi Odukoya, Shepherd-in-Charge of CCC Iri Orun Parish, and his wife, Adenike Odukoya, died hours apart after a violent domestic dispute at their home in Akiode Ibogun. The altercation occurred around 3:00 AM, during which Adenike reportedly sustained injuries and lost consciousness.

After realizing she was unresponsive, Abidemi left the premises. Their son raised the alarm, prompting neighbors and members of the local Community Development Association (CDA) to assist, but Adenike ultimately succumbed to her injuries.

By 6:00 AM, Abidemi's body was discovered along the Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway in the Iyana Coker area of Ifo, where he had been struck by a vehicle. The police initiated an investigation into the incidents.

Adenike was buried at the family residence around 2:00 PM the same day, while Abidemi's family sought to secure his remains for burial. No official statements have been released by the police or the families involved.
