Algerian Boxer Khelif Appeals Genetic Testing Ban to CAS - World Boxing Championships Uncertain

Algerian boxer Imane Khelif has appealed to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) challenging the World Boxing decision to ban her from competition unless she undergoes genetic sex testing. Khelif filed the appeal seeking to overturn the ruling that prevents her from participating in World Boxing events without the required screening.

CAS rejected Khelif's request for interim relief, upholding the competition ban until a full hearing is conducted. The World Boxing Championships are scheduled for September, and Khelif's participation remains uncertain pending the outcome of the appeal.
