Lawyer Hashim Abdullahi Released After 21 Days of Kidnapping

Hashim Abdullahi, a lawyer, regained his freedom after being kidnapped for 21 days. He was abducted in Sokoto while attending a meeting of the Muslim Lawyers Association in Kano.

His captors initially demanded a ransom of N100 million but later reduced it to N10 million, giving a 48-hour ultimatum for payment. The family reportedly paid the ransom, leading to his release.

Barrister Said Muhammad Tuduwada, a past president of the association, confirmed Abdullahi's release and expressed gratitude for the prayers and support received during this difficult period. The incident highlights ongoing security challenges related to kidnapping in Nigeria.
