Security Analyst Critiques Governor Mutfwang's Inaction

Gershon Yamba, a security analyst in Plateau State, accused Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang of failing to protect the lives and property of citizens amid increasing violence and killings. During a security symposium organized by the Plateau Security Forum in Jos, Yamba pointed out that over 200 people have been killed by terrorists in various communities since the beginning of the year, despite the state spending N23.69 billion on security in the past six months.

He cited a recent violent attack on Bin-Per community in Mangu Local Government Area, where at least 25 people were killed and numerous properties destroyed. Yamba expressed disappointment that such violence occurred in the governor's home council and criticized the government's repetitive press releases following attacks, stating that they do not lead to any meaningful action.

He emphasized the need for the government to listen to proposals on handling insecurity and vowed to continue speaking out against the violence affecting the state.
