Kogi Govt Celebrates Ekinrin Adde's N750m Development Fund

The Kogi State government, represented by Governor Usman Ododo and Deputy Joel Oyibo, commended the Ekinrin Adde community for launching a N750 million development fund during the 33rd Ekinrin Adde Day celebration. This initiative aims to tackle infrastructure challenges at the grassroots level.

Ola Awakan, Director General of the National Tourism Development Agency, emphasized the importance of cultural tourism, announcing that the Ekinrin Adde Day will be included in the national tourism calendar. The event also honored veteran journalist Babajide Otitoju with the Grand Star Award for his contributions to the community.

Traditional ruler Oba Anthony Bamigbola and other dignitaries, including Governors Babagana Zulum and Abiodun Oyebanji, were present. Otitoju expressed gratitude for the recognition and urged the diaspora to support community development efforts.

He highlighted the need for unity among the community members to ensure sustainable growth.
