SDP Chairman Denounces Illegal Meeting in Kogi State Amid Leadership Crisis

The Chairman of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in Kogi State, Moses Oricha, declared a stakeholders' meeting organized by the Muritala Ajaka faction as illegal and fraudulent. Oricha raised concerns about the legitimacy of the meeting attended by Ajaka, the party's governorship candidate for the 2023 election.

The SDP in Kogi has been embroiled in a leadership crisis with two factions claiming authority. Oricha cautioned against participating in the meeting, citing discrepancies in the reported congress validated by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

The SDP chairman emphasized the need to adhere to the party's constitution and avoid engaging with the Ajaka faction to prevent further confusion within the party.
