Stop parading yourself as member of our party – Ogun SDP to Jimi Lawal

The Ogun State Chapter of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) has issued a warning to Jimi Lawal, a former aide to Governor Nasir, to stop identifying himself as a member of their party. The SDP Deputy State Chairman, Augustus Olushola, revealed in a press conference that Lawal has been violating the party's activities by presenting himself as a member of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) coalition in Ogun State and issuing SDP membership cards illegally.

The SDP emphasized that they remain a separate entity from the ADC coalition, and accused Lawal of impersonating a party member by paying membership dues without proper authorization. Olushola stated that Lawal's actions are in breach of the party's constitution and warned that he is not qualified to represent the SDP at any level.
