Kwankwasiyya Movement Critiques Tinubu Over PFIPC Scandal

The Kwankwasiyya Movement has publicly addressed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's administration regarding the PFIPC scandal, describing it as a significant test of the government's commitment to transparency and institutional reform. Spokesperson Habibu Muhammad Sale stated that the administration's office had promised to renew hope in response to the governance issues surrounding the PFIPC controversy.

The movement expressed concern over the conflict surrounding the council, which the presidency has publicly denied exists. Reports indicate that N1 billion has been appropriated in the 2026 national budget for an entity with a similar name, raising critical questions about the management of public resources.

The group urged the government to clarify the existence of the council and the process of budget allocation. They warned that the controversy could affect Nigeria's international reputation and investor confidence.

The Kwankwasiyya Movement called for the publication of a full account of the matter and demanded that anti-corruption agencies conduct an independent investigation to ensure accountability in public office.
