Kwankwaso and Obi Sign Agreement for Political Unity

Rabiu Kwankwaso, the former governor of Kano State and a presidential candidate for the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), announced that he and Peter Obi, the presidential candidate for the Labour Party (LP), signed an agreement committing to a single four-year presidential term. This agreement stipulates that power will return to the North in 2031.

In an interview with Channels Television, Kwankwaso explained that the understanding was reached after extensive discussions between the two political leaders, aiming to promote equity and national unity. The agreement is documented within their party structures and is based on principles of collaboration.

Kwankwaso emphasized the need for both leaders to work together over the next four years, from 2027 to 2031, to address pressing issues such as insecurity, economic revival, and infrastructure development. He described Obi as a serious politician committed to Nigeria's progress and expressed confidence in their shared vision for the country.
