Kwara State Government Boosts Power Supply with 30 New Transformers

Kwara State government has purchased 30 new electricity transformers to enhance power supply and boost commercial activities. The State Commissioner of Energy, Engr AbdulAzeez AbdulGaniy, announced the procurement in Ilorin, the state capital.

This acquisition follows the delivery of the first batch of 16 transformers in August 2025, with the remaining 14 transformers received by the ministry recently. AbdulGaniy emphasized the crucial role of access to electricity in improving security and driving economic growth in communities.

The government reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring the welfare of the people in the state through improved power infrastructure.
