Kwara Judiciary Workers Declare Indefinite Strike

Kwara Judiciary Workers have announced an indefinite strike starting from August 25, 2025, due to the failure of the government to address their demands. The Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria (JUSUN) expressed frustration over the lack of salary and allowance reviews for judiciary staff in the state since 2010.

The union emphasized that despite 15 years passing without adjustments, inflation and economic challenges have worsened. JUSUN highlighted the disparity in treatment between judiciary workers and senior judicial officers, calling for fairness and equity within the governmental system.

The union stated that several notices and ultimatums issued to the state government were ignored, leading to the decision to embark on the strike. JUSUN urged for the implementation of the Consolidated Judiciary Salary Structure (CONJUSS) to ensure the welfare of judiciary workers.
