Kwara Senator Saliu Mustapha Resigns from APC

Saliu Mustapha, the senator representing Kwara Central Senatorial District, has officially resigned from the All Progressives Congress (APC). He announced his resignation via a post on his verified Facebook page on a Thursday, with the resignation letter dated August 14, 2026, addressed to the Chairman of the APC in Gambari Ward 1, Ilorin East Local Government Area of Kwara State.

Mustapha's decision was influenced by recent developments within the APC in Kwara State and followed weeks of consultations with stakeholders, supporters, and constituents. He emphasized that his political decisions are guided by the principles of people, purpose, and political alignment.

Mustapha expressed gratitude to the APC leadership under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the experiences gained during his membership.
