Taraba Governor Advocates Unity at Kwararafa Summit

At the inaugural national summit of the Kwararafa Development Forum held in Abuja, Dr Agbu Kefas, the Governor of Taraba State, stated that the gathering of the Kwararafa Kingdom is intended to foster national unity rather than promote division among Nigeria's ethnic nationalities. He highlighted that the forum aims to leverage their shared heritage for peace and national development, asserting that the Kwararafa people, numbering over 30 million across 22 states, are committed to collective responsibilities in the 21st Century.

His Royal Majesty Dr Ishiaku Adda Ali Matakhitswen, the Aku Uka of Wukari, noted that this is the first time Kwararafa representatives have convened to rediscover their identity and aspirations. Alhaji Usman Abdullahi from Nasarawa emphasized the need for equity, justice, and inclusion, while acknowledging the contributions of the Kwararafa people to Nigeria's development despite facing infrastructural and political challenges.
