Labour Party Demands Arrest of Julius Abure Over Allegations

The Labour Party has formally petitioned the Inspector General of Police (IGP) and the Department of State Services (DSS) demanding the immediate arrest of Julius Abure, the party's former national chairman. This petition was disclosed by the party's National Working Committee (NWC), led by Nenadi Usman, during a press conference held at the party's secretariat in Abuja.

The NWC questioned why Abure has been allowed to move freely despite accusations against him. Allegations include orchestrating violent attacks on the party's secretariat and threatening to kill anyone attempting to stop the destruction of property, including billboards bearing the face of the interim national chairman, Nenadi Usman.

Furthermore, it is claimed that Abure led thugs to remove sensitive party documents, financial records, and equipment such as laptops and phones from the secretariat. These actions have raised serious concerns regarding the integrity and security of the Labour Party's operations.
