Lagos Enforces 2026 Parking Permits, Warns Defaulters

The Lagos State Parking Authority (LASPA) has initiated the enforcement of the 2026 parking permit regulations across its operational zones, as announced by General Manager Adebisi Adelabu. This enforcement follows the conclusion of a prolonged grace period that allowed customers to regularize their activities and obtain the necessary permits.

Adelabu emphasized that the enforcement is intended to ensure compliance with parking regulations, promote accountability, and enhance the management of parking activities in Lagos. Despite previous appeals and reminders, many customers have not yet obtained their permits.

The enforcement will impose substantial fines and immediate suspension of operations for those who default on the 2026 Demand Notices, in accordance with the Lagos State Transport Sector Reform Law, 2018. Adelabu urged all affected customers to take immediate action to fulfill their obligations, stating that valid permits and accurate records are crucial for effective planning and management of parking services across the state.
