Lagos Announces Traffic Diversion for Road Construction

The Lagos State Government has issued a traffic diversion notice due to construction works on Baal Animashaun Road in Ifako Ijaiye, which will involve culvert construction and drainage reconstruction. The project, announced by Mr.

Oluwaseun OsiYemi from the Lagos State Commission for Transport, is set to commence on June 15 and is expected to last for eight weeks. The aim of the project is to channel stormwater runoff in the area surrounding Adfarm Estate and Adson Street, thereby reducing flooding and improving drainage infrastructure within the community.

During the construction period, there will be no vehicular access to Baal Animashaun Road from the Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway. Motorists are advised to use alternative routes, including the Agbado Ijaiye Road connecting via Alakuko Road, and to follow traffic signs and directions from traffic officials to ensure smooth movement and minimize disruptions.
