Lagos, Ogun Police Rescue Five, Arrest 88 in Operation

On Friday, the Lagos and Ogun State police commands launched a joint security initiative named "Kosay" to address insecurity challenges in both states. The operation, which began on Saturday, was led by Ogun State Commissioner of Police Bode Ojajuni alongside his Lagos State counterpart Fatai Tijani.

During the operation, five kidnapping victims were rescued, and four kidnapping suspects were killed, with an additional 88 criminal suspects arrested across both states. The initiative, supported by the Inspector General of Police, aims to eliminate kidnapping and violent crime, restoring public confidence in security.

The operation has already dismantled several criminal camps in forest corridors along the border of Lagos and Ogun states. Ongoing efforts will continue to ensure safety in the region, with police urging residents to report any suspicious activities.

The operation has yielded significant results, including the recovery of firearms and other criminal equipment.
