Lagos State and Moscow University Collaborate on Education

The Lagos State Government is actively pursuing scholarship and exchange program opportunities with the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO) to empower Nigerian youth and enhance educational collaboration. This initiative was announced by Bimbola Salu Hundeyin, the Secretary to the Lagos State Government, during a meeting with a delegation from MGIMO, representing Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

Hundeyin emphasized Lagos as a strategic hub for partnerships and expressed optimism about expanding access to global education for students in the state. The delegation, led by MGIMO's Vice Rector Ekaterina Shuvalova, highlighted the university's establishment in 1943 and its evolution into a full-fledged institution offering undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs with a strong focus on international studies.

MGIMO hosts students from 93 countries and aims to prepare future leaders. The university offers fully funded opportunities, including participation in international Olympiads and programs in 56 foreign languages, including African languages.
