LASHMA Wins Nigerian Healthcare Excellence Award Again

The Lagos State Health Management Agency (LASHMA) has been awarded the Nigerian Healthcare Excellence Award for the third consecutive time, recognizing its contributions to health insurance delivery in Nigeria. The award ceremony took place at Eko Hotel and Suites in Victoria Island, Lagos.

The award was presented by Dr. Emmanuella Zamba, the Permanent Secretary of LASHMA, and Dr.

Femi Olugbil, the former Permanent Secretary of the Lagos State Ministry of Health, announced the recognition via a Facebook post on Monday. LASHMA emerged as the winner in its category among five nominees, with Olugbil commending the agency for its innovative support towards achieving universal health coverage in Lagos State.

Dr. Anthony Omolola, Chairman of the NHEA Advisory Board, explained that the award, established in 2014, recognizes excellence in leadership and performance in Nigeria's healthcare sector.

Zamba expressed gratitude for the recognition and pledged LASHMA's commitment to expanding access to quality healthcare services for all Lagos residents.
