LASTMA Busts 'One-Chance' Gang, Recovers Stolen Phones in Lagos Raid

The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) conducted a successful raid on a notorious 'One-Chance' robbery syndicate operating under the Ijora Bridge in Lagos. A total of 77 stolen mobile phones, two POS machines, wristwatches, and other valuables were recovered during the operation led by Adebayo Taofiq.

The joint inter-agency operation involved the Nigerian Police Force, Lagos State Task Force, LAGESC, and the Nigerian Army. Preliminary investigations revealed that the Ijora Bridge area had long served as a criminal enclave accommodating miscreants and illegal traders.

The enforcement team also seized adulterated diesel and expired snacks, emphasizing the grave threat to public health and the environment. Additionally, 120 illegal shanties were demolished, including those near St.
