LASU and FUSTECH Deny Epe Campus Conversion Claims

Lagos State University (LASU) and the Federal University of Science and Technology (FUSTECH) issued a joint statement on Wednesday, clarifying that the Epe campus of LASU has not been converted into a federal institution, contrary to misleading claims circulating online. The statement, signed by LASU's Registrar Mr.

Emmanuel Fanu and FUSTECH's Mr. Kabiru Olawal Okugbesan, emphasized that the Epe campus remains an integral part of LASU and continues to host essential academic units, including the Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Environmental Science, and the School of Agriculture, along with various academic research centers.

While FUSTECH temporarily utilizes facilities at the LASU Epe campus as part of a collaborative arrangement, the ownership and operational structure of the LASU Epe campus remain unchanged. The institutions reassured the public, prospective students, and stakeholders to disregard false claims and rely on verified information from official communication channels.
