LASU Investigates Missing Results and Graduation Delays

The management of Lagos State University (LASU) has initiated a probe into allegations that some lecturers did not upload students' results, which has reportedly led to delayed graduations and the possibility of extra years for affected students. The controversy arose after claims surfaced on social media that over 100 students could not be convoked at the last convocation due to a lecturer's failure to upload their results since their 300-level studies.

Some students now face the risk of spending an additional year at the university, not due to academic failure, but because of this alleged oversight. A social media user, @TheAjakeManger, amplified the issue, claiming that more than 1,000 students across various levels in the department are experiencing similar problems and accused a Head of Department of threatening some students.

In response, LASU management acknowledged the complaints via their official X handle and assured that the matter is under investigation.
