Kabiru Faskari: A Voice for Nigeria's Farmers Passes Away

Kabiru Faskari, who passed away at the age of 67 due to complications from prostate surgery, was a significant figure in Nigeria's agricultural sector. He served as the National President of the All Farmers Association of Nigeria (AFAN) and the Poultry Association of Nigeria (PAN).

At the time of his death, he was the Chairman of the Nigeria Agriculture Business Group (NABG), where he focused on agricultural development, food security, and private-sector participation in Nigeria's agricultural economy. Born in 1959 in Faskari Local Government Area of Katsina State, Faskari studied architecture at Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, earning his degrees between 1978 and 1983.

He founded Kebram Associates in 1987 and later established Kebram Farms Limited in 2001 and Kebram Agritrade Limited in 2008, focusing on poultry production, crop farming, and agricultural trade. His advocacy was rooted in practical farming experiences, addressing challenges faced by farmers, including input costs, financing, and market access.
