Lawyers Champions League to Start in March 2026

The Lawyers Champions League, announced by Mr. Olujimi Olujid, will kick off in March 2026 and run for 11 weeks, concluding in June.

This year's competition is dedicated to raising awareness for prostate cancer, with a focus on early detection and combating stigma associated with prostate health among men. The league will provide free medical checkups for lawyers participating in the competition.

Aare Afe Babalola, a prominent figure in the legal community, is honored in this edition, which aims to be bigger and better than previous years. The league, which started in 2017 in Abuja, has expanded to include teams from across Nigeria, with 20 male teams and 4 female teams expected to participate.

Mr. Olamid Adekunle, a partner at Afe Babalola & Co., emphasized the importance of health checks and the league's role in fostering camaraderie within the legal community.
