Lekki Port Launches MSC Weekly Feeder Service

Lekki Port, the promoter of Lekki Deep Seaport, will welcome the maiden call of the Mediterranean Shipping Company’s (MSC) new weekly feeder service, establishing a strategic shipping connection with Lomé, Togo. This development expands access to global markets for Nigerian importers and exporters.

Import cargo from MSC’s global network will be transshipped through Lomé before distribution to Apapa Port, Tin Can Port, and Lekki Port. Conversely, export cargo from Lekki Port will be sent to Lomé to connect with MSC’s mainline services to Europe, Asia, the Mediterranean, North America, and South America.

Wang Qiang, Managing Director of Lekki Port, stated that this service marks a significant milestone in establishing Lekki Port as a leading transshipment and gateway port in West Africa. It offers customers faster and more reliable access to MSC’s extensive global shipping network, creating new opportunities for Nigerian businesses and enhancing the competitiveness of the country's trade.
