Lorient Coach Olivier Pantaloni to Depart at Season's End

Olivier Pantaloni, the 59-year-old coach of Lorient, has announced that he will step down from his position at the end of the current season. This decision comes as a result of a lack of trust from the club's hierarchy, which Pantaloni expressed in an interview with the local newspaper Ouest France.

He indicated that this distrust has affected his willingness to continue under the current working conditions. Pantaloni took over the coaching role in 2024 after the team faced relegation and successfully led the Breton side back to Ligue 1.

In his first season back in the top flight, Lorient has performed impressively, currently sitting in ninth place with six matches remaining in the season.
