Linda Quaynor Becomes First Female UBA Ghana Board Chair

Linda Naa Dzama Quaynor has made history by being appointed the first female Board Chair of United Bank for Africa (UBA) Ghana, succeeding Kweku Andoh Awotwi, who retired after years of service. Quaynor's appointment is significant as UBA Ghana seeks to strengthen its operations amid a competitive financial landscape.

She previously served as Chair of UBA Ghana’s Technology and Information Security Committee, providing strategic oversight on resilience and governance. Quaynor has over 25 years of experience in management consulting, financial services, and corporate strategy across various regions, including Nigeria, Ghana, South Africa, the UK, Europe, and the US.

Her previous roles include Programme Director for Nigeria at Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors and Senior Partner at VirCan Capital. Currently, she is a partner and West Africa Strategy Leader at Deloitte Nigeria.

Quaynor holds an MBA from the University of Kent and a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting and Finance from Middlesex University. UBA Ghana stated that her appointment reinforces its commitment to diversity and progressive leadership.
