Juliana Ose Ofoku Elected First Female NUJ Chairman

Juliana Ose Ofoku has made history by becoming the first elected female chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Nasarawa State Council. In the election held on a Monday in Abuja, Ofoku secured 96 votes, defeating Jonah Samson from the Nasarawa Broadcast Service, who received 89 votes, and Sunday John from the News Agency of Nigeria, who garnered 61 votes.

Chizoba Ogbech, the vice president of NAWOJ Zone D, issued a press statement congratulating Ofoku on this landmark achievement, emphasizing its significance in recognizing the competence and resilience of women in the journalism profession.
