List of Political Parties Under Which Tinubu Has Won Elections

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's political career began in 1992 when he contested under the Social Democratic Party (SDP) and was elected as a Senator representing Lagos West constituency. After the military dissolution of democratic institutions in 1993, he continued to rise in national politics.

In 1999, Tinubu ran for governorship under the Alliance Democracy (AD) and served as the Governor of Lagos State from 1999 to 2007. During his tenure, he was credited with reforms in public finance, infrastructure, and governance.
