Ozekhome's SAN Rank Withdrawn Amid Fraud Allegations

The Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) rank of Mike Ozekhome has been temporarily withdrawn by the Supreme Court of Nigeria due to ongoing disciplinary proceedings. This decision was announced by Kabir Akanbi, Chief Registrar of the Supreme Court, following a committee meeting held on June 23.

The proceedings are related to allegations against Ozekhome concerning fraudulent documentation in a property case located at 79 Randal Avenue, London, NW2 7SX. The UK tribunal has indicted Ozekhome for allegedly using fraudulent documents to claim ownership of the property, which is linked to the late General Jeremiah Useni of Plateau State.

The Independent Corrupt Practices Commission has filed three counts of charges against Ozekhome in the Federal High Court in Abuja, including giving false information and attempting to deceive public authorities. The charges are marked as FCT/HC/CR/010/2026, with Osuobeni Akponimisingha leading the prosecution.
