Low ADC Membership May Impact Peter Obi's Presidential Bid

Don Norman Obinna, the chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Abia State, has expressed concerns that the low membership registration among Igbos could jeopardize Peter Obi's chances of securing the ADC presidential ticket. He emphasized that Obi, a former presidential candidate from the Labour Party, will struggle to win the party's presidential primary elections without a significant number of votes.

As of now, the ADC has recorded only 400,000 registered members in Abia State, while Adamawa State boasts a membership of 1 million. Obinna made these remarks during a special event in Umuahia, where he was a guest at the inauguration of executive members of the Coalition to Protect Democracy (COPDEM).

He urged ADC members to drive a campaign for increased registration to ensure good governance and quality leadership.
