ADC Chairman Urges Igbos to Boost Membership for Obi

Don Norman Obinna, the chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Abia State, expressed concerns over the low membership registration among the Igbo, which he believes could hinder Peter Obi's chances in the presidential primaries. Speaking at the inauguration of the executive members of the Coalition to Protect Democracy (COPDEM) in Umuahia, Obinna highlighted that the ADC has only registered 400,000 members in Abia State, while Adamawa State approaches 1 million.

He emphasized the need for increased participation in online registration to boost Obi's candidacy. Obinna stated that Obi, a former governor of Anambra State and the Labour Party's presidential candidate, would not win the ADC presidential primaries without a significant number of votes.

He called on party members to engage in a large-scale sensitization drive to promote good governance and quality leadership.
